The authentic Spanish fishing town of Conil de la Frontera has around about 16,000 inhabitants. The surrounding area has a very diverse landscape, with its coastline, old town features, undeveloped open countryside with forests and villages scattered round about. All in all 16 km of long sandy beaches stretch out nearby, which are suitable for a variety of leisure activities. Long, flat beaches with white sands, small sections of beach with cliffs behind them, small coves for nude bathing and sunning yourself at Cala de Aceite and behind the lighthouse.

The diversity of the surrounding area is in keeping with the inhabitants’ way of life - they make their living from farming, fishing, trading, small businesses and also from tourism. There is always something being done to expand tourism but you can be sure that mass tourism with giant high-rise blocks won’t crop up here, so the Spanish character will be preserved. Conil is also a holiday destination for Spaniards from Seville and Madrid, so during high season their presence on the streets is notable.
In the center of the town there are still many ruins and parts of ruins from the Moorish period, which you have to discover for yourself since they are situated in the small alleyways and streets and only a handful of people pay attention to them. It is particularly pleasing to have a look at the countless inner courtyards.
The infrastructure of this area is certainly still in need of improvement and naturally enough you’ll not find any gambling casinos, any giant beach discos or any audience entertainment on the beach – in its place are long stretches of white sandy beaches (it is said to be the most beautiful beach of all the Spanish coastlines), vast forests of pine trees and historic towns are near to hand: Seville, Cordoba, Cadiz, Jerez and Arcos. On the spot we organize day trips, whale watching and admission tickets for you.
