The historic village was originally built in the eighteenth century, but was abandoned in 1949. In 1998, Antonio El Zumbo and his family started the restoration of this really lovely place and the houses have been carefully and lovingly restored in a traditional rustic style to provide visitors with every modern convenience and comfort.
The Acebuchal is perfect for walkers, natural lovers, writers, painters and those who like to sit outdoors during the daytime all year round and enjoy the beauty of their surroundings.
This environment is peaceful and perfect for all those wishing to escape the crowded coast and a more sophisticated lifestyle, yet you will find you are only 15 minutes scenic drive distant from the buzz, restaurants, bars and shops of Frigiliana. Also you can find in 13 km the beaches of Nerja, in 60 km Malaga and 107 Granada.
